2, 3, or 4 thread serger
Two threads for a rolled hem, three for a lighter finish, four to sew the seam and overlock its edge in one pass.
Differential feed 0.5mm–2.25mm
The front and rear feed dogs can run at different speeds, which is what stops a knit stretching into a wave and a fine woven gathering up.
