Built-in needle threader
The threader takes the thread through the eye for you, which is the difference between starting a seam and hunting for reading glasses.
Automatic thread cutter
One button trims both threads at the end of a seam, so a long run of piecing is not punctuated by reaching for scissors.
Start/stop button
Sew without the foot pedal — useful for free-motion work, and for anyone who would rather not hold a pedal down for an hour.
Speed control slider
Sets a top speed the machine will not exceed, so detail work stays controllable no matter how hard the pedal is pressed.
